New people at SAA
SAA has contracted two people on a part-time basis until May 31, 2018. In Regina, Donna Boyle has been hired as a Communications Officer, covering the remainder of Jessica Riess’ leave. Tarin Dehod will coordinate the 2018 Arts Congress from Saskatoon. Tarin will work closely with the Arts Congress Organizing Committee and SAA staff to prepare this major biennial event which will be held at The Refinery in Saskatoon.
CIF Call for Adjudicators
Deadline: December 1, 2017
The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) is inviting applications from Saskatchewan individuals who are interested in serving on Adjudication Committees which will be responsible for reviewing applications to the Community Grant Program and making grant recommendations to the CIF board of directors.
CIF Grant Program Deadline
Deadline: February 1, 2018
CIF Community Summer Grants support activities for children and youth between May 1 and August 31. The types of projects typically supported include summer camps and day programming that offer positive arts, culture, recreation, and other learning opportunities.

SAA congratulates the winners of the Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards (SIFA) which were presented by the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative on November 17th at the Artesian in Regina to the following:

Call for Applicants: U of A Drama Chair

The Department of Drama, within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, invites applications for the tenured position of Department Chair at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
One Book, One Province
Saskatchewan Libraries Association (SLA) invites cultural organizations to participate in its second One Book, One Province project scheduled for March 2018. Out of Old Saskatchewan Kitchens, a best-seller written by Amy Jo Ehman and published by MacIntyre Purcell, is the 2018 selection. One Book, One Province supports and promotes literacy, reading, and libraries.
